5 Ways to give Thanks, this Thanksgiving Day
“Be thankful for what you have; you'll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never, ever have enough.”
It is that time of the year when we finally celebrate Thanksgiving again. Thanksgiving is a day when you give thanks to every beautiful person who’s made some or the other changes in your life for good. Starting from God, you go all the way to the family, friends, acquaintances and everyone else. Without them, you wouldn’t have been the way you are and where you are.
Are you planning to thank them for this year?
There are numerous ways to thank the people in your life as well as God in some or the other way. We have compiled a list of things that you can do to say thank you.
1.Thank you notes: The simplest and the most adorable way of thanking someone is to say thank you in the first place. And, if you want the person to remember that thank you, make sure you say it in a way that it stays. Whether it is a thanking card or a souvenir, gift it one and all who you think you should be thankful for. There are numerous options available online from where you can get the notes customized for different people.
2.Charity: The day is all about celebrating and making others happy. There’s no other way to make someone happy other than bringing a smile on the person’s face. Charity is the way where you can bring joy to people who hardly have ways to be happy about. Donate money, clothes, daily provisions and other things to people who cannot afford it and this will surely be a blessed occasion for you. The clothes you donate need not be brand new, they can be the ones which you don’t wear anymore or even don’t need. Make sure they’re in good health for someone else is going to wear them.
3.Feed the hungry: What can be a better way to have the blessings than feeding the hungry? If you are considerate enough to feel the person’s hunger, you’d be truly a gentleman to feed him/her. Serve them yourself and see their faces glow when their stomach goes full and the satisfaction that you’ll get is beyond any comparison.
4.Plan a dinner for family and friends: Plan a lavish dinner for your family and friends. Invite them to be a part of your celebration and feed them. Talk about the occasion and its significance as well as give return gifts to them all. There are many gifting options depending on whom to give online. For example, gifting a pair of men’s underwear to your partner or a box of candies to your friends is all it takes.
5.Plant a tree: Considering the environment and the depleting resources, this is probably the easiest thing you can do when it comes to Thanksgiving. It would be a way of thanking mother Earth and nature for giving us what we have today and might not be there tomorrow. Ask you, family and friends, to do the same and it will be an invest for the future generations.
