How to Support the LGBTQ Community This Pride Month?

Pride Month may appear to be all rainbow flags and cheerful parades, but it began as a protest. On June 28th, 1969, clients of a gay club in Stonewall fought back against a prejudiced police raid. Homosexuality was illegal at the time.

People in major cities around the United States began marching to memorialise the riot, kicking off Pride Week.

These marches have become a symbol of the LGBTQ+ cause. Further, which is why many of us associate "Pride Month" with bright parades.
