    Normally I am a big fan of the Baskit line of underwear.and subscribe to the adage that everything is better in a Baskit. The Baskit luxe line, however, falls short of my expectations.

    In my opinion: The luxe line is made of 95% cotton modal and this should make for greater absorbency and softness, but I find it has a synthetic feel with less breathability, but this might be because of my preference for 100% cotton. The dealbreaker, though, is in the leg banding. It feels like a tight rubber band around my leg with the bottom half inch folding up underneath the band making for an uncomfortable fit. It also appears to be prone to pilling after repeated washings.

    This is in direct contrast to the Baskit contrast low rise trunk which is possibly the best pair of underwear I have ever owned. It has a better feel with a different and more comfortable leg banding.
